“The EU employment rate for men of working age was 80.4 % in 2023, exceeding that of women (70.2 %) by 10.2 percentage points[1].”
Aren't you tired of seeing this kind of inequality over and over again? Don´t you want to live in a world where things are fairer for everyone?

We at AIFED say “yes” and not just a simple yes. It is a yes backed by action through the “Finds your roots and spread your wings” initiative, developed together with Asociacija “Socialinis hubas”, FEMEDUBEART and Systeme in Bewegung e.V.-Coordinator.
Objectives
The main goal of this project is to promote gender equality and the inclusion of women in all areas of education. To do that, women first need to become aware of the power structures and inequalities that exist in society. Only then can they learn how to deal with these challenges and how to use the systems around them to their advantage.
How does this project work?
We develop curriculum based on the European Union’s LifeComp framework, along with the knowledge from our partner organizations and the lessons learned from past projects. This curriculum also focuses on building soft skills, which are essential for improving both physical and mental health. We also draw inspiration from the cultural traditions of strong women throughout European history. The result? Practical tools that help women move closer to true equality in their everyday lives.
In practice
We begin by listening. Then, the target audience helps us understand their experiences, needs, and goals. Based on their feedback, we develop tailor-made learning materials. These are then tested and reviewed by all partner organizations. After making improvements, we format the materials in a user-friendly and visually appealing layout. We print a limited number of physical copies, but most of the distribution happens online. Social media campaigns and public events help spread the message even further.
What are we creating?
The end product is a course manual that can be used by educators. It will include clear goals, lesson plans, language levels, required materials, and suggested time frames for each session. It’s designed to raise awareness about injustice, especially in patriarchal societies where many people never learn to question the status quo. We want to change that. Once awareness is raised, the course will guide women through topics that help them grow professionally and personally, things like self-presentation, leadership, and work-life balance.
Which results do we expect?
The final course manual will be shared online and printed in small batches about 150 copies per country. Each printed version will include a QR code linking to the websites of our partner organizations, where the materials can be downloaded freely. We believe in combining digital access with print resources to reach as many people as possible. The best part? Our partner organizations will continue to use this course in their everyday work, helping more and more women feel empowered and ready to take on the world.
Thanks to the FEMPOWER project, one step at a time, we’re moving toward a world of greater equality for all.
