MEETINGS

First meeting in BONN (Germany), February 2-3, 2025

The first meeting of the new Fempower project took place at the historic Schloss Arenfels in Germany.
Together with our partners Systeme en Bewegung e.V., AIFED and Femedubeart, we come together to turn ideas into real changes. Fempower is more than a project; It is a necessary response to the challenges women face today. We create educational tools that will build confidence, promote leadership, and help women overcome the limits that still exist.

As part of the Kickoff Meeting project, we had the privilege of visiting the Frauenmuseum Bonn, a pioneering and unique space dedicated to showcasing the art, history, and contributions of women in various fields.

During our visit, we explored inspiring exhibitions that highlight the strength, creativity and resilience of women around the world. This museum is not only a place of history but also a platform for female empowerment and cultural dialogue.

An enriching experience that truly strengthens the spirit of our project!

Day 1

The first day was about building connections and laying the groundwork for successful collaboration among all the partner organisations. Following the networking introduction, the partners participated in a project introduction, where they presented and discussed the project's objectives and expectations.

In the afternoon, we took a guided tour of the Frauenmuseum (women's museum), which focusses on women's contributions throughout history, culture, and society; this theme is directly related to our project that emphasises empowerment and inclusion. Additionally, to the tour, we had the opportunity to meet and hear from the amazing woman Mrs Pitzen (founder of the women's museum).

The next activity was a team-building walk around Bonn's city centre, combining informal networking with cultural experience, facilitating informal exchanges and fostering networking.

  • Reviewing and collaboratively discussing the work in the curriculum

  • Presentation of modules in detail with suggestions and recommendations.

  • Planning of testing—including coordination for implementation with 10 participants from each partner.

  • The meeting also addressed the monitoring and adjustment of the dissemination and communication plan.

  • We divided the next steps and tasks, scheduled the next meetings, and clarified the workflow for all partners.

Thanks to all of our partners for their enthusiasm, thought, and collaborative spirit. We are building momentum towards empowerment.
